DAY 1 – BANYOLES – MARE DE DEU DEL MONT
Girona is a well-known cycling destination and due to our proximity we should not miss the opportunity to travel its roads. I took the boat Mallorca Barcelona to be in Banyolas soon in the morning and start the ascent to Mare de deu del Mont. My friend Jordi recommended this ascent to me. However, he did not tell me the slope could reach up to 10%. The incredible descent with good asphalt and wide road at the end.
DAY 2 – BANYOLES – ROCACORBA
The second day of my cycling in Girona was to make the ascent to Rocacorba, training place for professionals and non-professionals. The characteristic of this ascent is that the 10% slope is constant with three small breaks to relieve the legs. From above incredible views of the town and Lake Banyolas.
DAY 3 – BANYOLES – VALLTER 2000
The third was going to be a hard day. The ascent to Vallter 2000 is a route where the Vuelta a España and other international tests have passed. However, the most beautiful thing was to reach Camprodón from the north through Oix, Beget and Rocabruna. Prepare to suffer, degree between 7% and 11%. Relax in the rural hotel and spa Mas Prat (recommended).
