Challenge Ciclista Mallorca 2019

International cycling teams such as Movistar (Spain), Bora Hansgrohe (Germany), Katusha Alpecin (Switzerland), Cofidis (France), UAE Team Emirates and many others arrived in Mallorca to participate in the famous Challenge Ciclista Mallorca 2019.  The event consisted of 4 stages took place on the island from January 31 to February 3.

The German cyclist Marcel Kittel, of the Katusha-Alpecin team, won the Playa de Palma – Palma Trophy on Sunday 3rd of February, the last day of the XXVIII Playa de Palma Challenge Mallorca Cyclist.

We would like to share some images from the final stage with a 159-kilometre route departing from the Playa de Palma and arriving in Palma de Mallorca.

The Irish Mark Downey (EvoPro Racing), the Italian Danilo Celano (Amore & Vita-Prodir), the Canadian Rob Britton (Rally UHC Cycling) and the Belgian Aaron Verwilst (Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise) broke away with almost 5 minutes of advantage with respect to the peloton, but that ended up being neutralized to 52 kilometers of the end.
